Terms of Service

BookMyDesk helps self-study libraries and reading rooms manage seats, shifts, memberships, fees, receipts, reminders, staff access and optional attendance. It is not for book lending.

• You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code on WhatsApp. Keep your phone and WhatsApp secure; actions from your account are treated as yours.
• Owners decide who gets staff access and to which branches, and are responsible for their staff’s use.
• If you switch on automatic WhatsApp reminders, you confirm your members agreed to receive them, and you turn them off for any member who asks.
• You must give correct information and have the right to record the member data you enter.

• Every new library gets a 30-day free trial with Pro features. No card is needed.
• Plans: Starter ₹199 a month, Pro ₹399 a month, Business ₹799 a month. Yearly plans cost 10 months’ price for 12 months. Add-ons are priced on the Pricing section and Subscription page.
• Plans are prepaid through Razorpay for a month or a year. They do not renew automatically; to continue, you pay again before the period ends.
• Each plan has limits (branches, seats, staff logins, AI questions, automatic WhatsApp reminders a month). Adding beyond a limit needs a bigger plan or an add-on; reminders beyond the month’s allowance wait until the next month.
• If a plan or trial ends, everything keeps working for 7 days. After that you can still sign in, see your records and record fee payments, but adding seats, staff, branches, new memberships or renewals, and the AI assistant, wait until you renew.
• Prices may change for future periods; a period you have paid for keeps its price.

The data you enter belongs to you. We use it only to run the service for you, as the Privacy Policy explains. You can ask us for an export at any time.

• Receipts from BookMyDesk are payment acknowledgements, not tax invoices. Recorded payments are what you enter; they are not bank-verified.
• Fees your members pay by UPI go straight to your UPI ID. BookMyDesk does not process, hold, confirm or refund them; check your UPI app before recording a payment.
• Recorded attendance is an operational record, not proof that someone was present.
• The AI assistant can make mistakes. Check its answers and drafts before relying on them or sending them.

Do not misuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempts to break security or access other libraries’ data, no spam through the reminder tools, and no reselling without our written permission. We may suspend accounts that do.

We work to keep BookMyDesk available and your data safe, but the service is provided as it is, and short interruptions can happen. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before it.

You can stop using BookMyDesk at any time; since plans do not renew automatically, there is nothing to cancel. We may end or suspend access for breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have jurisdiction.
